SWELL - Scottish Workforce Empowerment for Lifelong Learners
Scottish Workforce Empowerment for Lifelong Learners (SWELL) is the name of the Equal Theme E project which is being led by
the Scottish Further Education Unit (SFEU). The research undertaken by LEARN is co-ordinated through UHI and
aims to answer the following questions:
- What barriers do disadvantaged groups face in finding and progressing in employment?
- How can these barriers be overcome?
- What is the role of community networks, especially networks of learning centres in rural areas, in overcoming barriers?
